I have always prioritized fitness ,playing sports in high school, and then joining the military. Early on in life running was a necessary evil that help keep weight down, now at 48 I find running more therapeutic and relaxing.
The cadence in my head phones, the birds chirping , dogs barking ,the sun rising I feel contribute to a better me physically spiritally and mentally.I’m not very fast , to date have not YET run a half marathon or full marathon mostly 5k and 10 k, but my run journey not over .
I’m like most people have my share of life challanges : relationships ,health and financial just to name a few ,but when I’m on the road grinding ,or gliding (depending on the day) all of my problems are on hold .
I love to run.. I feel alive when I run ..I feel healthy when I run,…I feel accomplished when I run ..I PLAN ON RUNNING TILL I REACH THE FINISH LINE!!
