100 Mile Virtual Challenge

Dear 100 Mile Challenge Participants,

Thank you and welcome to the 100 Mile challenge. This challenge will go from May 11th to June 11th.

If you have not already, please join the Facebook group, as that will be our main source of communication and updates.

1. This event is a special 100 mile virtual event that starts on May 11th and goes until June 11th. If you’ve been tracking your miles for the month of May, you could also submit your monthly miles instead.

2. The Challenge will be a month long mileage challenge (run, run/walk, walk).  The goal is to get as many miles as you possibly can, or really want, or think you want.  There is no correct amount.  You choose your mileage goal for the month!

3. We will have an official “Finishers Wall of Fame” for runners who hit specific mileage goals.

  • 75 Mile Club
  • 100 Mile Cub
  • 150 Mile Club
  • 200 Mile Club
  • 300 Mile Club

3. Complete your activity (run, walk, hike or treadmill) and record it on your gps watch or any activity tracking app on your phone. 

4. We have an official Stravva group, but you can log your miles manually or set up syncing with Garmin, Fitbit, Strava, or Apple Watch.

5. Only miles on foot count. No bikes or or wheeled activities count.

6. Please make sure to log all of your miles miles during the challenge. At the end of the challenge you will submit your total distance from May 11th to June 11th (or from May 1st-May 31st) and send in a picture/screenshot and show us the distance with your Strava, FitBit, Watch, Treadmill, Run Keeper, or other tracker. We encourage everyone to submit their miles at the end of the challenge.

7. At the end of the challenge, email your end results to ilovetorun100milechallenge@gmail.com

It is important that you add the following info in the subject line so we can easily log your activity:
Subject:   ( registered name), Dates of activity, total mileage

Use our private system to log your results at the end of the challenge:

***We will also post a link in our community to a special web page for you to log your results by June 11th. You will submit your name, email address, goal miles, actual mileage and a photo for us to use with your results for our “Finisher Wall-of-Fame”.

8. If you ordered the deluxe registration, keep an eye out for an email from us. Your finisher’s gear will be shipped out at the end of the challenge (after June 11th).

9. We will make an “100 Mile Challenge” aftermovie of the run, so selfies and photos of scenery/dogs are therefore very welcome! 🤳🏻🐶🥳 The movie will be shared in this group only. Tag the post #100milechallenge in our private Facebook group, so we can find you.

Please make sure you are cleared by your doctor before beginning training and always listen to your body.

Please go to the Facebook Group and share pictures from your run, and anything else you are doing to stay fit and motivated.  This is the perfect place to encourage all your other fellow runners. This is a place that we can still be a group through all of this social distancing. It’s a good place to post a photo from your run.
